Lexus Aftermarket Grilles

Japanese luxury - it's a concept that was foreign to U.S. car buyers before the launch of nameplates including Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti. However, over the course of about two decades all three have become household names, with Lexus Grilles leading the way. With plenty of awards and countless sales under its belt, it might appear to many casual observers that Lexus has been operating in the United States for generations. Truth be told, Toyota didn't launch its luxury brand until 1989 with the debut of the Lexus LS and Lexus ES 250 sedans. Two years later, the company followed up with the Lexus SC 400 and Lexus SC 300 coupes; the Lexus ES 300 replaced the ES 250 at about the same time.

From its relatively humble beginnings, Lexus has grown to be one of America's leading luxury brands. Following up on the successful Lexus IS 300 (dubbed the Lexus Altezza in Japan) are the new entry-level models known as the Lexus IS 250 and Lexus IS 350; a hotrod version of that model is called the Lexus IS F. Like competitors Mercedes-Benz and BMW, Lexus fills its ranks with a range of upscale sedans including the Lexus ES 350, the Lexus GS 350 and Lexus GS 460, and the Lexus LS 460 and LS 460 L, also known as Japan's equivalent to the S-Class.

In an effort to put a halo of green around the company's name, the Lexus GS 450h, Lexus LS 600h L, and Lexus HS 250h hybrid models have been developed. The same fuel-sipping technology is used in the Lexus RX 450h crossover, a more efficient version of the Lexus RX 350. Rounding out the lineup are the Lexus GX 470, the Lexus LX 570 SUV (a more luxurious version of the Toyota Land Cruiser), and the Lexus SC 430 convertible. The brand's SUV offerings took to the streets in 1996 with the launch of the Lexus LX 450, followed by the Lexus RX 300 and the Lexus GX 470. Updates to each model resulted in the debuts of the RX 350, LX 570, and the Lexus RX 450h hybrid.

Sharing technology with the RX 450h are the Lexus LS 600h L and the Lexus HS 250h, suggesting that hybrid development is alive and well within the minds of company engineers. The attractive Lexus IS convertible and 500-horsepower Lexus LF-A concept lead one to believe that designers and engine tuners are thinking equally hard.
